Press Release: Business-Economic Forum Greece – United Arab Emirates (Lagonisi 11-12.01.2012).
The Vice-President of the Government, Theodoros Pangalos, will co-chair on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 with the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Al Nagia, on the works of the Business and Economic Forum, organized in common by the governments of the both countries.
In the Forum will participate some 200 major companies and investment institutions of world-wide range investment agencies in Greece in order to strengthen the extroversion of enterprises from both countries and enforce investment and business partnerships in the areas of industry aluminum, energy, environment, tourism, air transport, rural industry, food, banking, stock market, shipping and new technologies.
The response of the Government of the United Arab Emirates to the invitation of the Vice-President of the Hellenic government confirms the confidence of the Gulf countries in the investment opportunities in Greece, but also the importance of our country for the future development in the region of Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East. The expectation of the Government of the UAE is to maintain the economic stability in the region and to overcome the economic crisis through policies and partnerships which will ensure a return to a growth path in terms of mutual respect and competitiveness demanded by markets.
The Greek companies and the banking system will have the opportunity to make mature investment proposals to seek financing sources of entrepreneurial projects.
Finally, in the context of the Business and Economic Forum, the Greek businessmen will be informed by the state agents of the Emirates on business opportunities in the United Arab Emirates under the development program announced by the Government of the country.
